In a nutshell を使いたかったのですが、その表現を使うには理由が短すぎるとのこと。いくつかの理由が前段にあって、その内容を要約するとき in a nutshell で始めることができるということで、今回は to put it simply に変更。ただ、話の流れの想定としては to put it simply の前にも理由、恐らく複雑なもの、が述べられていて、上のような流れの文につながる形になるだろう、とのことでした。
