彼には睡眠負債があったけれど、寝付けず、30分寝返りを打ち続けた。
-Even though she was running out of food, she didn’t go grocery shopping because she was going to travel for work in two days.
２日後に出張が控えていたので、彼女は食材不足ながらも買い物に行かなかった。

１つめの文に関しては、Although の後の文はカンマは一つ、と講師よりとピシッとコメントあり。
２つめの文に関しては、she’s got a business trip coming up in two days、due to her upcoming business trip in two days といった表現もでてきました。１つめが Although なんだから、２つめは変えようかと even though に変更。
２つめに関して、she’s got a business trip coming up in two days が使いたかった表現でした。しかし、自分で文を組み立てようとすると coming up in two days のところがうまく書けず、その表現で書くことをあきらめました。文法は会話と違って、明確に「間違い」が浮き上がってしまいます。その意味で、この活動は自分の苦手を再認識させられる落ち込み度合の高い作業です。ただその一方で、どこを繕っていけばいいのか明確に教えてくれる作業でもあって、効果的だなと思いもします。
