No matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to get my English sentences right. Sometimes I lose words because I don’t understand the subtle nuances and differences between words. However, a remark made by an English teacher continues to resonate: “If you don’t use it, you’ll lose it.” I suppose the best thing I can do is stick with this little habit and read more sentences to be a tiny bit better than who I was yesterday.

（どんなにがんばっても、英語で正しく文を書けないようだ。微妙なニュアンスや単語間の意味の違いがわからず、ときどき言葉を失ってしまうこともある。しかし英会話の先生の「使わないと、失う」、その言葉がずっと頭に残っている。私にできる一番のことは、この小さな習慣を守り、より多くの文を読み、昨日の自分よりほんの少しだけよくなることなんじゃないかと思う。）

違いその1、”I”を使う代わりに、”it is difficult”に置き換える。違いその2、difference という単語は重複するけれど、本来私が書いた文です。

ブログの一つの良いところは、書いたものが残るところだと思う。それは、一日だとわからない。でも、書いたものが形となり積みかさなっていくと、こんなに続けてきたのか、がんばってきたなぁと思えたりする。コツコツと、学んだ英語で文章を書き続けてみようと思う。
