Right now, I can’t write business emails in English without relying on Copilot. To become less dependent on it, I need to read more in English because reading and writing go hand in hand.
今、仕事で Copilot に頼ることなく英語のメールを書くことができない。読書と文章力、この２つは密接に関わっている。Copilot に頼らないようにするためには、もっと英語で書かれたものを読んでいく必要がある。

◆Casual? Formal?
英会話講師にこの文を見せると、カジュアルにいきたいか、フォーマルにいきたいかと訊ねられました。ナチュラルにと、少しズレた答えをしてあがってきたのが上の文章。correlate （関連する）が今回使いたかった単語で、本を読んでいてでてきたフレーズ highly correlated を使い文章を作成。しかし、添削後はカット…。理由を訊ねると、correlate がフォーマルな単語なので、この文脈では適さないとのこと。この感覚を掴むのは時間がかかりそうで、ここでも鍵は読書になりそうです。
